eIDAS 2.0 mandates the creation of the European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet, promising a secure, cross-border digital life. But as cybersecurity leaders know: mandates create compliance, while only incentives create adoption. If the EUDI wallet relies solely on regulation, it risks becoming an underutilised IT project while AI-driven fraud and synthetic identities continue to bypass legacy KYC systems.
This keynote delivers a much-needed reality check. We will explore how to combat modern fraud and examine the 'incentive gap' for the private sector. Finally, we will reveal how the 'Broker Model' can bridge the divide between government issuance and massive private-sector acceptance.
