(TR14) (INCYBER) Securing generative AI: a matter of urgency!

56% of employees use generative AI at work, yet only 26% report that their organization has a policy in place regarding its use (source: Conference Board). This discrepancy raises concerns. Rather than resis- ting this technological wave and attempting to block queries, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) must support and facilitate this revolution. What role should they take in the necessary cross-cutting go- vernance of these projects? What are the risks of data leaks, and how can they be mitigated? How can organizations ensure that the use of these AIs does not lead to security policy violations? What measures can be taken to guarantee regulatory compliance for these projects? Beyond security, how can organiza- tions prevent the increasing reliance on these AIs from intensifying the “lock-in” syndrome and depen- dency on a single vendor?
