(TR05) (T&S) Hybrid Harms, Siloed Solutions: dealing with a sprawling ecosystem of risk

With the rise of loosely connected "Com" networks and adjacent harms, Trust & Safety teams of all shapes and sizes are facing new hybrid threats to children that defy neat definition. CSAM, Extremism, Suicide & Self-Injury and Graphic Gore content increasingly overlap in a severe combination, posing challenges to traditional approaches such as highly specialised single domain teams. This session explores the realities of investigating and mitigating hybrid harms as stakeholders seek closer partnerships to achieve higher impact together.
