(TR09) (T&S) Leveraging AWS to Build Robust Trust and Safety Solutions: Strategies for Addressing Online Abuse

This session explores how infrastructure and cloud providers navigate the complex challenge of addressing online abuse and harmful content. Through the lens of AWS's Trust & Safety team, we'll examine effective strategies for supporting customers in their abuse mitigation efforts. Participants will learn how organizations can build robust trust and safety tools using AWS technology and access dedicated grants for responsible innovation. The session showcases practical implementations through real-world case studies from AWS customers and AWS T&S grantees, including Tech Against Terrorism (TaT) and Thorn. These organizations will demonstrate how they've leveraged AWS resources to combat Terrorism and Violent Extremist Content (TVEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSEA).
