Laurent Balmelli has an academic background with a master's degree and a PhD from EPFL. He worked 7 years at IBM TJ Watson Research Center in New York and 5 years at IBM Japan in Tokyo. After this experience, he ventured into entrepreneurship and created the cybersecurity startup Strong Codes which was acquired by the American company Snap, Inc (the company behind the popular Snapchat application). Today, he is working on his new company, Strong Network, with the ambition to make code development productive and secure against data leakage.

STRONG NETWORKF20Strong Network was founded by two engineers with long experience in cybersecurity, Laurent Balmelli and Ozrenko Dragic. The company raised a EUR 5.1 M Seed round in March 2022 and won several awards in Cybersecurity since its inception, including the 2022 FIC Startup Award. The company is active in the EU, Asian and US markets and is headquartered in Switzerland, with operations in Serbia and US California. We aim at serving large French and European companies that need to improve their IT infrastructures targeting development for governance, monitoring, efficiency and security. We want sales and support in France, Germany and other strategic countries. --- Strong Network a été fondée par deux ingénieurs ayant une longue expérience de la cybersécurité, Laurent Balmelli et Ozrenko Dragic. La société a levé un fond d'amorçage de EUR 5.1 M en mars 2022 et a déjà remporté plusieurs prix en cybersécurité depuis sa création, dont le prix FIC startup 2022. La société est active dans l'UE, l'Asie et les US et a son siège en Suisse, avec des opérations en Serbie et en Californie. Nous souhaitons servir les grandes entreprises françaises et européennes ayant besoin d'améliorer leurs infrastructures informatiques pour le développement dans des buts de gouvernance, surveillance, efficacité et sécurité. Nous voulons développer les marchés en France, Allemagne et dans d'autres pays stratégiques.
